Weddings are no more just a joining of two souls. It is much more than only that today. When you think wedding you associate it with more things then only two people tying a knot and spending their whole life together. The mind is full of images of a grand occasion, elaborate settings, and people in expensive and exquisite clothing , exotic food to indulge upon.  The zest is more on elaborate affair rather than simple weddings.

These days a lot of people are going for the destination weddings. Basically what they do is select a superb location and invite all their guests at that destination and celebrate the wedding in a much elaborate style and have a great time. If you are planning a destination wedding you need to keep a few things in mind. If you are flying to your wedding destination, make sure that you carry your wedding ensemble with you rather than packing it with your luggage. Most airlines have coat closets for the passengers to hang their garments.   If you are going to a resort, which most probably you would be in such a scenario, do not worry about the hair and make up styling since all resorts have in house beauty salons. If you are looking forward to doing your hair yourself do not forget to confirm if there are necessary electrical points in your room. Some of the things you can not afford to forget on this trip are the wedding dress, special undergarments, shoes, your guest book, wedding rings, thank you cards, and wedding music of your choice.

Just after you have selected the wedding dress for yourself and the wedding ring for your fiancé, the next thing that comes to your mind is the wedding location. Once you decide the wedding location too you should then think about the wedding photographer. Who will take on this very significant responsibility at your wedding? Most probably you will hire a professional wedding photographer but even if you do that there is still room for you to get the wonderful moments that take place at the wedding. The professionals can not take those interesting and memorable pictures. Ideally you must give this responsibility to someone from the family who can capture these incredible moments so that you can cherish them later. You will find that the wedding photographer does not take the pictures of the guests enjoying the food or the interesting conversations that the family members have this is when you need a personal friend or family person to take these shots.

The focus of the wedding party is so much on outdoing other wedding parties we have been to, that people find it difficult to manage all the necessary arrangements by themselves.  A lot of research is done on the wedding location and the planning of the entire affair. Planning weddings have become a big business these days. Since we are busy with so much, we decide to outsource this most important responsibility to the professionals. Having a theme wedding is also quite liked. The guests also know how to dress for the occasion and this gives the host to decorate the venue according to the chosen theme. While selecting a theme for your wedding, select a theme that is not too ambiguous so that the guests are not confused about how to appear for the occasion. Theme parties are usually quite successful since everybody feels like being a part of the big event and contribute to its success. If you are having the wedding in summers, you can have the Hawaiian or beach theme wedding. But it would be more fun to have such a theme in winters! Although you have to keep in mind the temperature and hence, host the party indoors. Wedding in western theme would give a chance to the guests to dress in western outfits which are not so difficult to acquire. You can keep the western-style barbecue or grill for the food.

Once you hire a wedding planner, all your worries about the wedding hall, food, beverages and decoration go away. Most wedding planners take care of all these responsibilities. Ideally be very clear with your instructions to the planner on the things you want and how you want them. The expectations are not clearly laid out, which leads to confusion and dissatisfaction.  It is best to create your own checklist of the things to do for the wedding preparations. There are many arrangements that must be done way in advance. Planning weddings can be fun and full of excitement if you create your things to do in advance and check each one as it is done. Do not stress and enjoy this wonderful occasion with all the excitement and cheer.
